Andrzej Piaseczny – 30 Years On Stage – Great Musical Birthday

Andrzej Piaseczny is one of the most outstanding and recognizable artists in Poland. Singer, songwriter, actor and philanthropist are just some of the terms that describe the spectrum of his activities.

In 1992, he became the vocalist of Mafia. They recorded three albums over the years 1993-1996 - "Mafia", "Gabinety" and "FM". In 1995, the artist joined forces with Robert Chojnacki, a musician with whom he created the album "Sax & Sex". The album quickly went double platinum, and Andrzej became the undisputed idol of the youth. Two years later, he made his debut as an actor in the TVP series "Złotopolscy", in which he played Kacper Górniak, one of the main characters. At the same time, Andrzej was preparing material for his first solo album - "Piasek", which was released in January 1998 and went platinum shortly after its premiere. The same year, together with Kayah, he hosted the competition gala of "Debiuty" during the Festival in Opole.

He also developed his acting skills in theatre plays, such as "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", in which he played the main role alongside Natalia Kukulska, and "The Passion of the Christ", during which he was accompanied on stage by Justyna Steczkowska. In 2001, he represented Poland at the international Eurovision festival in Copenhagen, and 4 years later he was awarded the main prize of the "Amber Nightingale" for the song "Z Głębi Duszy" during the Festival in Sopot. In later years, he did very well as a coach in "The Voice of Poland" and "The Voice Senior", as well as a jury member in "Dancing with the Stars".

Andrzej has released 9 solo albums, 3 with Mafia, and 4 recorded together with Seweryn Krajewski, Robert Chojnacki, Stanisław Soyka and Kacper Dworniczak. In total, his projects received 11 platinum and 2 gold awards. Apart from his own material, he wrote songs for such artists as Krzysztof Krawczyk, Monika Brodka and Ewa Bem. Andrzej keeps writing new songs and performing on stage, and his performances combine a note of nostalgia, reflection, great humour and energy.
